Kalel Koven is a documentary photographer and artistic director. His work explores memory, territory, and the invisible narratives of everyday life. Through a humanist and quiet approach, he seeks to reveal the poetry of a presence, gestures, and absences—everything that composes the fragile beauty of reality through his own sensibility.
He is the founder, Art Director and CEO of IN FRAME a media dedicated to contemporary documentary photography, where he builds bridges between creation, reflection, and transmission. He is also a Fujifilm ambassador and was a curator of Hans Lucas Agency's Instagram between 2015 & 2019. From 2018 to 2021, he also created — in partnership with Photo Doc, the documentary photography fair — the In Frame x Photo Doc Prize, with the support of Fujifilm France, Fisheye Magazine, Le Labo PCP, and Revers Editions.
His projects have been exhibited in France and internationally, notably at the Rencontres d'Arles (2018), InCadaqués (2018), and PhotoDoc Paris (2018). In 2022, he took part in the Eyes on Main Street artist residency in Wilson (USA), where he developed an introspective work on memory and social space. In 2023, his work was exhibited at the American Center for Photographers (Wilson, USA) and at the Pingyao International Photo Festival (China).
